The Complete Ballet Score of a Young Girl in Love’s Hard-Fought Struggle This is the complete recording of the ballet *Coppélia*, which is exceptionally famous for its waltzes. The daughter of a dollmaker is actually an automaton. The plot follows a girl from the neighborhood who, fearing the automaton will steal the boy she has a crush on, resorts to thievery-like antics and even disguises herself as a doll to win his heart. (However, Act III is simply a grand banquet.) The music is truly elegant and charming, beautifully complementing this somewhat comical story. “The Spring” is also a famous waltz from Delibes’s renowned ballet music. Naxos Japan
