＜The long-awaited re-release of Furtwängler's "Legacy of the Century", the world's first SACD release from the original analog tapes, mastered in DSD and sold out in 2016, this fall, the 70th anniversary of his death! Tower Records limited edition of 400 sets. Legendary performance at La Scala in Milan in 1950! Considered a miracle recording as the maestro's only complete live performance, "The Ring" was first SACDed in 2016. Despite its high price, this box set has been highly requested for reprinting after selling out in a relatively short period of time, and is now being reissued in a completely limited number at a significant discount, although it does not include the lyrics and translation. The 72-page commentary includes song descriptions and a synopsis, and is well worth reading. When King Records released the imported LP from Chetra in Italy (1983), it was a big deal because the sound quality was so good that it was hard to believe that this was a live recording from 1950.In 1986, King released the first CD version from analog master tapes (2-track & 38cm/sec, 36 rolls) from DISCOS, Milano, where this reissue was made. The world's first SACD release of Furtwängler's legendary masterpieces recorded by RAI (Italian Broadcasting Institute) on two channels is now available in a joint project by Tower Records and King International, celebrating 70 years since the master's death. This autumn, 70 years after the master's death, they will be vividly revived. (1/2)
