The Four Seasons" by Julien Chauvin, who has been delighting music fans around the world with fresh surprises by presenting new interpretations of famous works such as Mozart's late symphonies and "Requiem" from an unprecedented point of view. They have performed with a variety of people in this work, including children and actors. In particular, they say they were greatly influenced by the dancers of French choreographer Mourad Merzouki, who is also the subject of the official dance for the Paris Olympics, and that this performance was born from natural physical balance, breathing, and spontaneity, without resorting to extreme originality or exaggerated dynamics. Nevertheless, the performance heard here is exciting enough. The order of the pieces begins not with the usual "Spring" but with "Autumn," with a recently discovered violin aria with obbligato in between and a follia at the end. In addition to Chauvin's virtuosity in interweaving the slow and rapid movements, which is reflected in the tight exchange of strings, with only one string player in each part, virtuoso Keat Gart joins in on theorbo and baroque guitar to support the ensemble, sometimes even leading it in an agitated manner.The "Four Seasons" is a collection of masterpieces, and now we have another remarkable disc that is unique and noteworthy.
