Kenta Okamoto, who has been active in the Latin jazz field with such groups as Tropical Jazz Orchestra and Obatala Segundo, leads his own leader band, Wu-Xing, at the Cotton Club in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and this live recording includes the gig at the club. The gig was cool and energetic, and featured a special lineup that included regular members Kohei Ando and Motoi Ogimi. The best players in Japan interweave their gem sounds in a fast-paced performance.
