EVISBEATS is releasing “OkaKiyoshi,” a collaborative album with Nagipan, in three formats: LP, CD, and cassette. While their previous album, Suiten, was created with a focus on “places” where land, people, time, and memories intersect, the new album, OkaKiyoshi, takes that intersection one step further inward, turning its gaze toward the heart itself. Relying on emotions, intuition, and subtle sensations, EVISBEATS and Nagipan created this album using their current feelings as a guide. Like multiple variables influencing one another, a single emotion gradually reveals itself. This is not music meant to be “understood,” but rather music designed to help listeners become aware of what they are already feeling. EVISBEATS and Nagipan say they came to realize this themselves as they continued working on the album. Featuring TAKU (In-Sist) on guitar, the album explores the “two minds” described by mathematician Kiyoshi Oka, and includes 12 tracks born from moving back and forth between them. (C)RS
