Includes two violin sonatas by Busoni This is a reissue of a CD originally released on the Amadeus label about 10 years ago. Busoni is well known for his austere style, but Violin Sonata No. 1 was written in his early 20s and still has strong Romanticism in it. Almost 10 years later, the second sonata is more Busoni-like, but it is based on Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 30 and the Kreutzer Sonata, and has a pseudo-classical style. Luca Fanfoni is an Italian violinist born in 1964 in San Secondo Palmense near Parma.
