Izzy Barta's head-on performance of the complete Beethoven cello sonatas with Teresie Fialover. The 2021 session recording, made possible only because of the Corona Disaster, is finally being released! Izzy Bárta (Ilzy Bárta), a leading cellist in the Czech Republic, tackled the complete Beethoven cello sonatas head-on with the up-and-coming pianist Teresie Fialová in 2020. They had also planned many concerts to mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. However, due to the spread of the new coronavirus, all their plans were temporarily cancelled. However, even when they were unable to give any concerts, their passion for Beethoven did not cool down; rather, they immersed themselves in the world of Beethoven and created music that only they could express through musical dialogue and discussion. Although many of their concerts were cancelled, they performed through live streaming and created a buzz. Then, in 2021, the two musicians will hold a performance session, which should be one of their conclusions. This is a session recording of their concluding performance. The five pieces spanning Beethoven's three periods are masterpieces that express the atmosphere of each period in which they were composed.The lightness of their playing can be said to be a characteristic of their performances throughout, but above all, their joyful playing cannot help but move you.
