Gillan, a hard rock band led by Ian Gillan, formerly of Deep Purple, will release a 7-CD box set of their albums from 1978 to 1982 on the Edsel / Demon label. The boxed set includes six albums that were also hits during the NWOBHM movement, such as "Gillan (The Japanese Album)," "Mr. Universe," "Glory Road," "Future Shock," "Double Trouble," and "Magic," as well as a collection of singles, B-sides, outtakes, and songs from the band's first album, "Gillan (The Japanese Album). The album also includes B-sides, outtakes, alternate versions, and many other bonus material, all remastered from the original tapes. The 7" size box also comes with a 32-page booklet featuring a recent interview with Ian Gillan by photographer Rich Davenport.
