In 1969, he released his debut album, First Take, which included a cover of the 1960s classic 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,' written by Ewan McCall, which was cut as a single in 1972 and became a No. 1 hit in the U.S. It became a big hit in the U.S. It also reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts at the time and made a name for itself by winning the Grammy Awards for Best Record and Best Song at the 15th Annual Grammy Awards. In the 1970s, she and Danny Hathaway became friends and released a joint studio album, "Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway" in 1972, which included the hit songs "You've Got A Friend" and "Where Is The Love," and in the 1980s, they released a number of duets. In the 1980s, they continued to release numerous duets.This album features some of Roberta Flack & Danny Hathaway's most important performances from the early 1970's. The performance on November 24, 1971 was recorded and broadcast for WPLJ radio in New York City. This is a must-have archive for fans of the two young soul music leaders of the 1970s.
