Weber (1786-1826)

Description:

Weber was an early Romantic composer known for his opera "The Magic Bullet". Although he lost his voice in an unfortunate accident when he was young, he devoted himself to the reform of theaters throughout Germany and gained fame as an outstanding composer. He spent most of his life working in the theater, and most of his works were operas, but in fact he was also an excellent pianist, and his piano music is lavishly executed with superb technique. This time, flutist Kazunori Seo focused on various works by Weber. The piece placed at the beginning of the concert was an unusual piece called "Piano Sonata" arranged for flute. The flute passages, which were added by Muller, are a highlight of the piece. The Grand Duet for Concert is originally for clarinet and piano. Seo adds a touch of extra floral brilliance to the piece, which could have been performed on the violin as well. In the Trio, originally for flute, the flute, piano, and cello intertwine beautifully. Enjoy this breathtaking performance by three Japanese players. Naxos Japan
