May Morning May Morning is an annual event held on May 1 every year in Oxford, starting at 6 a.m. The event has a history of more than 500 years. The choir sings songs about madrigale and the month of May on the roof of the Maudlin Tower. In 2020, the event was held virtually due to a new corona pandemic, but in 2021, it was held in secret the week before May 1. Although the actual audience was absent, this performance at the Maudlin Tower was shown online and received a rousing ovation. This album is one of a collection of songs sung at May Morning. Placing the sound of the bells of the College's clock tower at the beginning and end, the music is a collection of both traditional and contemporary tunes, allowing the listener to experience the long tradition as well.
