The ensemble "Latas de Viejo Mundo" was recently formed in 2017 by the best talents from various countries who gathered in Belgium, one of the most important European centers of ancient music (Switzerland, Austria, Catalonia, Lithuania......). The group's main field is the 15th and 16th centuries, when Spain was the world's most powerful empire, and it proposes a highly planned program of secular music. The significance of the attention paid to this group by RAMEE, the world's foremost label for uncovering music that no one knew existed but is extremely fascinating, will become clear in this new album, the label's first. The theme is madrigale, a type of music that flourished in Italy at the end of the 16th century and whose roots can be traced back to the 14th century, and this rich program reveals its history vividly through flexible instrumental and vocal interpretations.
