The 11th volume of the new anime series "Gintama" (4th season) "Shogun Assassination"! --An assassination attempt has been made on Shogun Shigemochi by someone who slipped poison into his tea and tried to kill him. The Shogun can no longer be protected in Edo. Those who feared for the Shogun's life decided to seek the protection of the emperor in Kyoto. Matsudaira, entrusted with the task of escorting the Shogun, plans to send the Shogun to safety while distracting the enemy.The idea was to have shadow warriors of the shogun's retainers stationed at Edo Castle by land and sea, while the real shogun was hidden in a cargo ship traveling by sea. The Shinzen-gumi, the Oniwaban and the Manjo-ya group were to serve as decoys on the land route, and Zenzo Hattori, the head of the Oniwaban, was to stand by the Shogun, making it seem as though the Shogun was well protected, but Zenzo's betrayal led to his murder! As if to follow up, a combined fleet of the Iga Shu on the land route and Harusame and Onibeitai led by Kamui and Takasugi on the sea route were approaching.What is the true loyalty of Zenzo and the other Shinobi? And what do they (the Samurais) really need to protect now that they have lost the lord they are supposed to protect? Includes episodes 304 "The Protectors of All Things" to 307 "Farewell, Lord Dachi".
