Russell's simple, austere soundscapes form the foundation for Morton's gorgeous, ethereal vocals on this deeply personal collection of 12 songs that feel intimate and delicate, yet powerful and tough.In 2020, Morton appeared on BBC Radio 4's "Desert Island Discs," a program in which guests select music to take to a desert island. Russell was so struck by Morton's song selection and commentary that he contacted her, and a few months later the collaboration was born, with such beautiful results.
