While carrying on the legacy of classic American country styles—such as in “QueenOfTheRodeo,” which sings of a real-life drag queen, and “Dead Of The Night,” which depicts the loneliness of losing a friend—while staying true to the classic American country style, he infuses it with a contemporary outlaw perspective and shoegaze sounds, captivating listeners with his melancholic romanticism. In 2024, he released *STAMPEDE*, his debut album on Warner Records, featuring collaborations with genre-spanning artists such as Willie Nelson, Kylie Minogue, and Elton John. Now, about two years later, he’s returned to the scene with a new album. The long-awaited new album is titled *MULE*. For Orville, this is his most personal, raw, and authentic—as well as his most ambitious—work to date.
