With her blonde hair and blue eyes, her delicate figure might at first suggest a feminine fragility, but as she sings while playing the guitar, her voice—with its core of strength reminiscent of blues and rock—instantly draws the audience into her world... Lizzie is from Illinois, and, influenced by her grandfather, she grew up listening to the blues and rock that epitomize the Midwestern American landscape. She is currently 30 years old. Initially, while attending the University of Colorado, she sang in clubs while exploring a path to becoming a musician, but being invited to open for Lenny Kravitz’s tour in 2008 proved to be a major turning point. She later gained recognition in the UK and made her debut in 2010 with the album *Catching a Tiger* on Sony Music UK. This is her second album, following that release. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Garrett “Jacknife” Lee (R.E.M., Snow Patrol), the album delivers the kind of soulful pop that only Handsome Woman can deliver, staying true to her artistic style—which conveys a message of living life on her own terms and searching for her true self while acknowledging her vulnerabilities.
