Ben Harper, a California singer/songwriter known for his authentic and emotional blues and folk-based sound, collaborated with legendary blues harpist Charlie Musclewhite on his first album for the Stax label. Debuting in 1994 with "Welcome To The Cruel World," the two-time Grammy Award winner has recently been performing as Ben Harper & Relentless 7. With this new album, they have moved to the prestigious soul label "STAX" and have made a fresh start, releasing a new album that traces their roots even more deeply. The album features the legendary blues harpist Charlie Musclewhite, who was born in Mississippi in 1944 and has been active since the heyday of Chicago blues in the 1960s.A true bluesman, he is also known for his collaborations with Little Walter, Robert Nighthawk, Sunny Boy Williamson II, and many others. The clash of their blues souls is the main attraction of this album. All songs were written or co-written by Harper, and the first single is "I Don't Believe A Word You Say.
