The Stone Roses, who broke up in 1996, announced their reunion at a press conference held at London's Soho Hotel on October 18, 2011. It was also announced on the spot that the band will hold a concert at Heaton Park in Manchester on June 29 and 30, 2012 (+ additional date to be announced on July 1, 2012.) Tickets went on sale on October 21, 2011, and the first two days were 14 minutes long. The first two days of tickets went on sale on October 21 for 14 minutes, followed by additional shows, and 75,000 tickets x 3 days = approx. 220,000 tickets were SOLD OUT in 68 minutes, setting a record for the fastest sell-out in the history of British rock music. This album features songs and singles from their first album released on the Silver Tone label, as well as singles from before their major label debut and songs from their second album released on the Geffin label.
