Orchestra of the 18th Century

Description:

New recordings of 18th century orchestras for a new era! Bach and Telemann, with the master musicians of the ancient instruments! 18th century orchestras of the "post-Brüchen" and "post-Corona" era! Masterpieces of Bach and Telemann by Zipperling, Schmidt-Casdorf, and other virtuosos on ancient instruments! The 18th Century Orchestra, co-founded by France Brüchen and Lucie van Dal in 1981, has been leading the revival of ancient music and historical performance in the Netherlands. The Orchestra of the 18th Century, which has continued its energetic activities with various guest conductors since the death of Bruggen, has released a new recording in the Corona Disaster, an album of masterpieces by the great Bach and Telemann, featuring such virtuosos on ancient instruments as Rainer Ziperling and Michael Schmidt-Kasdorf! The members of the 18th Century Orchestra, who were forced to suspend their activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, have been scattered all over the country and abroad, but their eagerness to perform together again brought the limited number of members together in Amsterdam for the first time in many years, and this recording was made possible. Rainer Ziperling, who has been the principal soloist of the 18th Century Orchestra for many years, will play the solo in Telemann's Suite.Michael Schmidt-Casdorf, who has been invited to the Vienna Konzentus Musiks in Arnoncourt many times while serving as principal flutist of the 18th Century Orchestra, the Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble, and the Dresden Festival Orchestra, dances brilliantly in the Orchestral Suite No. 2. The program includes the Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 led by the famous Canadian violinist Marc Destrube as a conductor. Marc Destrube is a virtuoso violinist who has toured and performed at music festivals around the world as concertmaster of the Anima Eterna, the CBC Broadcasting Orchestra, and the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra, in addition to serving as co-concertmaster of the 18th Century Orchestra. The group also includes familiar names such as Sayuri Yamagata (vn, va), Yoshiko Morita (va), Emilio Moreno (va), Alberto Bruchen (vc), and Peter-Jan Belder (cmb). Tokyo M-Plus
