Dalia Dedinskaitė is a Lithuanian violinist who represents the Baltic states. After studying at the Čiurlionis National Academy of Arts and the Lithuanian Academy of Music in her home country, she honed her skills at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and is currently one of the most promising young talents. This album features works (including arrangements) by Jewish composers from around the world. Joseph Akron may be an unfamiliar name, but he is a Lithuanian violinist and composer. It is also a pleasure to hear a rare composition by Heifetz. The highlight of the album is her lively performance of Gershwin’s Three Preludes. Tobu Shoji Co., Ltd.
