After studying with Daniel Barenboim, Said gave a concert at the Weimar Verdevere Music School in 2000 at Barenboim's invitation, a success that led to the documentary "Karim's Journey" directed by Christopher Neupen. In 2009, she made her BBC Proms debut with Barenboim, and has continued to perform with him since, including the inaugural performance of the Pierre Boulez Saal. The new album "Legacy" is an ambitious program that combines works by William Byrd, English Renaissance composers such as Thomas Morey, Thomas Tomkins, and John Bull, the New Viennese School including Arnold Schoenberg and Anton Webern, and Brahms.
