British Folk Rock trio formed by Marianne Segal (vo/g) and Dave Waite (vo/g), who had been active as a Folk duo since the late 60's. This 2 CD/ 3-sided digipak with a bonus disc is reissued in '18 at a low price from Sunbeam in the UK. Disc 1 features the full-length version of the '70 album, while Disc 2 includes the bonus tracks 'Big Yellow Taxi', 'Carolina In My Mind', 'Chicago Radio Spots', the band's last album and the '72 Demo/'74-'75 unreleased album recorded for the solo act after the band broke up. The album contains rare sound sources, including the band's last recordings, the '72 Demo and unreleased recordings from '74-'75, etc. Marion Segul's clear voice and gorgeous chorus work, etc., strongly influenced by American Folk/Folk Rock of the time, while the melody and sound have an unmistakable British flavor. Disc 1, the main album, is excellent, and Disc 2, which is full of rare sound sources such as demo tracks that are slightly earthy but as good as the songs on the 1970 album, and a spot for radio broadcasting in Chicago, USA, where you can hear a jingle by a DJ, is also a must-listen.There is a lot of overlap with the '17 3-CD compilation "~: THE ANTHOLOGY" released by Cherry Tree in the UK, but 'Deal With The Preacher' and 'Love Me Somebody' were spilled out, so this is also a valuable copy! The master is the same remastered sound source as the old plastic case version, and the booklet contains promotional photos/photos of various materials and biographies of the band at the time of their activities.
