After walking the high road of the British rock scene with the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces, Rod Stewart became a more serious solo artist after the breakup of the Faces. He moved his base of activities to the U.S. and released albums, all of which became million sellers. This is the live album of Rod Stewart's second visit to Japan!
The album "Tonight I'm Yours" was released in 1981 and reached No.11 on the U.S. album chart (No.8 on the U.K. album chart). After the album's release, the band tours North America, Japan, Asia, and North America for a total of 51 shows on the "Worth Leaving Home For, Le Grande Tour". The May 12 concert at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo was recorded and broadcast as a TV/radio special. This is a live album based on this recording, and three songs in the set list of that day, including the encore, were omitted due to the broadcast time.
Backed by talented session musicians, the songs are selected to trace his solo career at that time, and it is a wonderful live album that allows you to experience Rod Stewart's concert.
