Mirage, a super band formed by the leading members of Canterbury music's Caravan and Camel, who pursued melodic progressive rock, disappeared without making a studio album after only two years of activity. The two live albums that can be considered as a precious record of this band, which disappeared without making a studio album after only two years of activity, will finally be reissued only in Japan! Peter Bardens and Andy Ward, who had been searching for a new career after leaving Camel, were introduced by Dave Sinclair of Caravan, who had also left Camel, to Pai Hastings and Jimmy Hastings, who were core members of Caravan, as well as musicians from Canterbury Music. Mirage was formed by Pai Hastings and Jimmy Hastings, both core members of Caravan, along with musicians from the Canterbury music scene. Before making a studio album, the band toured a limited number of times in the UK and Europe to see the band's potential, but stopped as soon as the tour was over. The band has since continued as Peter Bardens' band.The band changed its name to "Pete Bardens Mirage" and toured Europe exclusively with a set list consisting of Camel songs and songs from his solo albums. The concert in Oberhausen, Germany on March 16, 1996 was recorded as a live album and released as this album. The live performance is reminiscent of the early days of Camel, as the band was under the leadership of Peter Bardens. The album includes an additional bonus track, a song that was broadcast on TV.
