My love for country music is the same now as it ever was." - Ringo Starr T Bone Burnett produced and co-wrote the songs. The release will feature 11 original songs recorded earlier this year in Nashville and Los Angeles. Of the 11 songs on "Look Up," nine were written by Burnett, either alone or together, while two of the remaining songs were written by Billy Swan and one was co-written by Starr and Bruce Sugar. Starr sings and drums on all of the songs, and also contributes to the composition of the closing number, "Thankful," which features Alison Krauss. In addition to Krause, Burnett has recruited some of Nashville's most promising and elite musicians of today for the album, including Billy Strings, Larkin Poe, Lucious, and Molly Tuttle.Burnett co-wrote the preceding track "Time on My Hands" with Paul Kenary and Daniel Tassian (who also co-produced this album with Sugar).
