[Astor Piazzolla, composer and bandoneon player who created a unique performance style based on tango, fusing classical and jazz elements. Although Piazzolla will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth in March 2021, his catalog of performances has not been released in an organized form due to the sheer volume and variety of labels, making it difficult to obtain an overview of his work. This time, Piazzolla has reissued all seven titles he left to Philips and Polydor in UHQCD format for the first time. All of them are rare items that have been difficult to obtain, and are a must-see for any fan of Piazzolla's music. Piazzolla first organized the Quinteto in 1960, but it was with this string ensemble that he developed his own sound, and this is one of the recordings from his heyday, recorded in 1965 after returning from a tour of New York.
