GLAY's 16th original album in 2 years! GLAY's desire was to deliver a "simple, entertaining, soothing, and gentle sound" in the face of the prolonged Corona disaster. The songs on this album were recorded in 1997 for the older songs and in 2020 for the newer songs, and it is an album that can be considered a summary of GLAY's career. The artists he respected in the 80's, 90's, and 00's are now filtered through the filter of today's GLAY, and the album strongly reflects the J-ROCK and J-POP elements of his roots. The title of the album is derived from the Carpenter's "Carpenters". The album title comes from a line in the Carpenters' song "Seishun no Shine. To be free means to have to part with something, and this album is exactly what the title implies, freely expressing what was not possible back then, and is filled with soothing melodies and lyrics that can be said to be the foundation of GLAY.The artwork for this album was designed by PERIMETRON, a creative team led by King Gnu's Daiki Tsuneda, for the first time. The DVD includes GLAY Outdoor Non-Audience Live Vol. 2, the second part of GLAY's "FREEDOM TALK", "BAD APPLE" Album ver.
