Description:

The whole fairy kingdom is informed that the fairy Miranda has fallen in love with the human king Altidore. King Demogorgon, the fairy king, allows the marriage on condition that Miranda "keep her identity a secret for nine years and one day," during which time she must confirm Altidore's true love. If Miranda could fulfill this condition, she could become human and marry Altidore, but if not, she would become a "snake" and have to roam the earth for 200 years. Now, what will happen to their love... Alfredo Casella, a composer belonging to the next generation of Puccini's generation. Alfredo Casella, a composer belonging to Puccini's next generation, formed the "Society for New Music in Italy" at the beginning of the 20th century together with Maripiero and other composers of the same generation, and worked to popularize "pure music" instead of opera, which was at its height in Italy at the time. However, this does not mean that he never wrote any operas or vocal music, and he wrote three operas during his lifetime.Among them, "La Donna Serpente," the only full-scale opera, was composed from a libretto by the 18th century commedia dell'arte writer Carlo Gozzi (also known as Wagner composed "The Fairy" from the same original work), and is decorated with brilliant orchestral music reminiscent of Respighi and Stravinsky. The main character, Miranda, is sung by a real-life singer. The main character Miranda is sung by the talented soprano Carmela Remigio. She has been a popular singer in Japan, where she has often sung with great skill and emotion, and here she will be giving her best performance and singing. Platti, who sings Altidore, also sings a difficult role with a beautiful voice. The dancers, the beautiful costumes, and the stage are all beautifully decorated, and Noseda, who has been a member of the Royal Opera House of Turin since 2007, has done a wonderful job in bringing this production to life.
