Description:

A new Furtwängler masterpiece is now available. The detailed inner voices and nuances are now amazingly clear! The Furtwängler recordings have been reissued many times, but the direct transfer has brought back the vivid sound of the Furtwängler masterpieces. The "Pathetique" is recorded with German ELECTROLA DB 3328/32S in the late 1930s, when SP recordings were at their peak. The detailed movements of the inner voices of the orchestra, which could not be heard in the tape recording era, can be clearly heard only with SP recordings. In previous reissues, this was lost along with the noise. The Berlin Philharmonic turned into a huge monster under Furtwängler's baton, and the swelling of the orchestra leads the listener to a state of ecstasy. The "Unfinished" was performed by Österreichische HMV DB 21131/3. The 1937 "Fate" was recorded on German ELECTROLA DB3328/32S. This is Furtwängler's first recording for HMV. The Beethoven Saal in Berlin was relayed by telephone line to Electrola's cutting room, where the original recording was made.It is strange to hear German recordings on the Electrola master because they have a thicker sound and a deeper sense of depth. The Violin Concerto is recorded on HIS MASTER'S VOICE DB6574/9. After the defeat of Germany, Furtwängler was suspected of collaborating with the Nazis during the war and was banned from performing until April 1947. This is a commemorative recording of his reappearance at the festival in August 1947. This is the last SP recording. Hero" was recorded using HIS MASTER'S VOICE DB 9296/9302. The recording was made over four days in November 1947, soon after the end of World War II, and the complete work was completed one year and three months later after a revised recording. Furtwängler re-recorded the complete work in November 1952, so this SP recording is not well known. 1926 "Fate" was recorded using Nichi-POLYDOR 60024/28. This was Furtwängler's first record recording, an electric recording using a microphone that began in 1925, but Polydor of Germany adopted the Light Ray system invented by Brunswick of the U.S. The recording was made in 1926, using POLYDOR 60024/28 of Japan.Recorded in three separate recordings with a simple yet powerful sound that seems to bring out the great conductor of his youth. The "Gran Partita" was recorded using HMV DB 6707/11. It was recorded at the same time as Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Hero", and the master recording number is intermingled with "Hero". The recording location is a small chamber music hall in Musikverein. It is assumed that 13 wind players were moved to this hall during the recording of "Hero". King International
