NICKEY & THE WARRIORS: The live performance where the new song "COSMIC LOVE" was distributed at the time was recorded in its entirety. Nicky & The Warriors opened the year 2023 with the nationwide release of their new CD "The Cold Metal Gun" with DVD in January. The sound boldly incorporates synth loops. Blondie, who was playing at CBGB, a New York live house and a mecca of punk, dared to challenge the miracle that surprised the world with "Heart of Glass" in 1979, and the product in 2023 attracted a lot of attention. Come to think of it, the previous album "Tokyo Dolls" was also motivated by Nicky's love for the original punks such as the New York Dolls and Johnny Thunders, who were the driving force behind the Warriors. The band's first Christmas song, a tribute to the 70's Pistols, was also well received. With this momentum, the band participated in THE STAR CLUB's tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka in February. On May 27, they played a 2-man show with Far East Pharos Kicker. Nicky and Chuya have been performing live as a unit "Venus & Zeus" with CROSS on guitar, and the two unique vocalists must have felt a mutual attraction to perform together. The creation of a new song with Chuya was a natural progression. The new song "Cosmic Love" was written by CROSS, and the composition was changed several times to adjust to the two vocalists, and a guitar solo part was added at the request of Chuya.Recording was completed in April for this one song, and it was decided that instead of a CDR for this one song, a CD pressing would be arranged with the factory and distributed free of charge to the audience on the day of the show on May 27. What is recorded on this DVD is the entire live performance on that very day. Starting with Velvet Lips composed by Hideki Sakakibara, and including songs from the original Warriors in the 80s, you will be able to see Nicky & the Warriors in May 2023. Guitarist Tomohiko Oguchi, who has toured with the band for the past several years, is a support member, but also fuels the band with his intense stage presence. Masahiro Muta, a drummer who has been a member of many bands, including the Street Beats, and who also provides strong drumming as a Warrior in between his work with the band. Toshimichi Isoe, a beloved keyboardist who is an integral part of Nicky's recordings and also participates on stage. And KATSUJI's bass playing supports the Warriors.
