Description:
Matt Cook is a composer, writer, and economist. This "Braveship" is an adaptation of a full-length novel that has been developed into a multimedia program that includes a video game and live concert. It tells the story of a boy who travels in a magical airship through a universe dotted with continents floating in the air. He meets a princess in disguise and discovers new cultures as he travels with an outlaw called Finn. The album is divided into 12 parts, with narration by Irish actor Mary Hilary (Intro) followed by the music. The final encore (bonus track), "Fly with Me," features the beautiful voice of popular Australian pop soprano Mircea. The album comes with a special size booklet (74 pages, full color) that includes beautiful artwork depicting scenes from the story, an introduction to the story (in English), and introductions to the orchestra members and participating artists. The album received the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Award. Naxos Japan
