The Trumpet Concerto “The Fisher King,” completed in 2011, is said to be intended to oscillate between light and darkness, seeking to transform energy. “Otherworld” is a large-scale work for orchestra. “It is a parallel world—I composed it based on theories of quantum physics to explore infinite possibilities, as if creating a colorful sculpture,” says Valin.
