Description:
German pianist Martin Stadtfeldt, who has been called the Gould of the 21st century and made his debut with "Goldberg", has made his latest recording and first Chopin album. This is the first Chopin album with a jacket photo exclusive to Japan. Stadtfeldt, whose repertoire has included Bach, Mozart, Schumann, and Schubert, recorded this ambitious album in Berlin from July 25-29, 2016. He plays a piano by Steingraber, a Bayreuth piano maker, at the Church of Jesus Christ, a favorite of Karajan and Furtwängler. This instrument, which was played by Liszt, is characterized by its clear and deep sound.
