YIKO, a seven-piece, male/female twin-vocal band that freely mixes rock, soul, and funk, has just released a six-song EP titled "YIKO". YIKO is a seven-piece band featuring twin vocalists, Satori, who has worked as a vocalist for THE NAMPA BOYS and Healthy Dynamite Club, and Monari Wakita, who works as a solo singer, and the enigmatic percussionist, Shake Airman, who plays aggressively. The band is a super original music group with the solid skills of artists who have accumulated various careers and a greedy sound filled with their favorite music such as rock, soul, and funk. The lead track, "Dokashiteru" is an extremely soulful party tune. Despite the euphoric tone of the song, Satori's lyrics about sincere anger, loneliness, and the wish for freedom are the best part of the song.The second single, "Chotenjiku," is a mid-tempo tune with twin vocals by Satori and Monari that will take you to Jersey. The EP also includes the summer madness "Ano Natsu He" with Monari on lead vocals, the breezy tune "utopia" with its refreshing guitar cutting, the humorous and fun "Animals' Night", and "monster" which closes the EP on a grand scale. The EP closes with "monster," which closes the EP on a grand scale. The EP is a perfect launching pad for this seven-member group blessed by music.
