The Little Mermaid, based on Andersen's fairy tale, and Nielsen's overture Helios were recorded at a concert in October 2017 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Denmark. The New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra beautifully expressed the fantastic world led by Ueoka, who is also the principal conductor of the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. And from an enthusiastic live performance in November 2017, Max Reger's hidden masterpiece "Four Sound Poems by Becklin. The music born from the painting is expressive. A once-in-a-lifetime performance by music director Toshiyuki Ueoka and the New Japan Philharmonic.
