The 58th Regular Concert of Kanagawa University Symphonic Band held in the New Year of 2024 was recorded live. Following Jun Chosei's "Paganini Lost in Wind," which won the Gold Prize at the National Competition, the band performed Maslanka's great piece, "Symphony No. 4," which included an organ. The solemn performance, which also included an organ, was captivating. The main program was Kodaly's "Hari János" conducted by Honorary Music Director Toshiro Ozawa. Hiroshi Hoshina's new arrangement of the piece gives the audience a strong sense of the brightness and folkloric character of this piece. Don't miss Tadasu Sakai's "Gift of the Forest," conducted by Shunya Nakamura, which is full of Nakamura's thoughts and feelings. This album fully demonstrates the strength and musicality that foreshadows the "new era of Shindai.
