The lyrics are very 2020, interspersed with the phrase, "Love is love and it never ends, will we ever be together again?In an interview with GQ in May of this year, she said that her new album will have an "adult disco sound" and explained that "even adults need to have pure pop fun. In the same interview, she also said that nostalgia for the 70s disco and 2000s pop sounds that she has loved since childhood was the inspiration for the new album. And according to the Independent, Kylie was recording new songs in her living room during the Corona Disaster lockdown, "I've been busy building a home studio (in my lounge!) lately. The visual concept for the album was also created by Kylie herself, along with creative director Kate Moross and video director Sophie Muller.The retro-futuristic album cover, featuring Kylie in hair and makeup reminiscent of the "golden age of disco," is a must-see, as is the music video for "Say Something" and other visual artwork that will be released in the near future.
