The only album by DAKILA, a band formed by Filipino immigrants in San Francisco, is being reissued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its release! DAKILA (meaning "greatness" in Filipino) was active in the musical crucible that was San Francisco in the late 1960s. Although they have only released one album, they are highly regarded among garage, psychedelic, and rare groove listeners for their musicality that combines Latin rock, psychedelic, acid rock, Afro, and funk. The band's only album is now being reissued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release! The original version was actually pitched up by the producer against the band's will, but this reissue has been corrected to the correct pitch and reissued. (From the manufacturer's information)
