This is the debut album by Tokyo-born violinist Keiko Yamaguchi. She studied under Takashi Shimizu and, after graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts, went to study abroad in Basel, where she studied Baroque violin under Giuliano Carminola. Currently active primarily in Europe as a soloist and chamber musician, she has also received high acclaim in North and South America, Russia, as well as in Azerbaijan, Turkey, and China. She plays an instrument made by Nicolas Dupot in 1822. Please enjoy her rich musicality, exceptional technique, and, above all, her overflowing sense of lyricism as she performs a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from the Classical to the Contemporary periods.
