The Organs of Tobias Heinrich Gottfried Trost I am performing on four organs built by Tobias Heinrich Gottfried Trost (c. 1680–1759), an organ builder active in Germany during the first half of the 18th century. The recording features the organ at St. Walpurga’s Church in Großengotteln, the organ at the Stadtkirche (City Church) in Waltershausen, the organ at the Schlosskirche (Castle Church) in Altenburg, and the organ at the Schlosskirche (Castle Church) in Eisenberg. Felix Friedrich is from Debern in the German state of Saxony. He has served as the director of the Thuringian Organ Academy since 1991. He is known as a scholar of Johann Ludwig Krebs (1713–1780), and this CD features numerous works by him. Vertical-format book-style packaging.
