France-based Brazilian new groove master Lucas Arruda's first album is reissued on CD/LP! It is a masterpiece reminiscent of the good Brazilian mellow grooves of the 70's, such as Azimuth, Marcos Valli, etc.! Born in Espirito Santo, Rio, this is the long-awaited solo work of a young multi-instrumentalist who has played in numerous bands, supported Ed Motta and William Magalhaes (Banda Black Rio), and worked with Brazilian soul legend, Ildon, among others.The tight bass line that echoes like the wind in 16 fills, the cutting guitar that has the perfect amount of power, and the various percussions that have been calculated and placed in stereo on "Tamba Part" are too pleasant to the ear. The funky tune "Tamba Part 2" also shows respect for legends such as Stevie Wonder and Curtis Mayfield, and all of the songs are excellent Brazilian grooves with an exhilarating feeling.
