Description:

What a lively performance! Ana de la Vega's "Bach Album" which also includes the oboe & flute version of the Doppel Concerto! Ana de la Vega is a rising star in the flute world who gained high acclaim with her release of Mozart and Mislivecek's Flute Concertos (PTC-5186723) on the PENTATONE label. This was followed by her second release on the same label, a collection of concertos by Joseph Haydn and Carl Stamitz (PTC-5186823), in which she gave an excellent performance with young oboe player Ramon Ortega Quero. In the highly anticipated third volume, "Bach Unbotand", the selections are based on the theme of "a new perspective on Bach as a human being and a composer". Performed with the prestigious Heilbronn-Württemberg Chamber Orchestra, it includes the Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 2, 4, and 5, plus a flute & oboe version of the Concerto for two violins, and the finale "Badinury" from Orchestral Suite No. 2 with its technical passages, which Vega adores. Bach's works are performed wholeheartedly. Born in Australia to English and Argentine parents, Vega studied with Margaret Crawford at the University of Sydney. He then studied in Paris as the last pupil of Raymond Guiot.Currently, he is actively performing around Europe and has been acclaimed as "an outstanding talent" (Wigmore Hall), "a true artist" (Cadogan Hall), "first class" (Berlin Philharmonic), and more. The recording also features a young virtuoso as soloist! In 2007, he won the first prize at the ARD Munich International Music Competition, and since then he has focused on his solo career. Since then, he has been active as a soloist in many countries around the world. In addition, there is Alexander Sitkovetsky, violinist and nephew of Dmitry Sitkovetsky, who is active worldwide as a soloist; Johannes Berger, keyboardist and winner of numerous international competitions; and Silas Aryal, a successful professional photographer and trumpet player from the United States, Silas Aryal, a successful professional photographer and trumpet player from the U.S., and a full lineup of soloists will provide a skillful performance.
