A love letter that transcends time and space sung by the popular European jazz unit "Ryambiko. The soulful jazz music performed by Ryambiko, a cool and stylish vocalist who claims to have been most influenced by Nina Simone, has been acclaimed around the world. Her last two albums, "Sings Gershwin" (2012) and "Muse" (2015), expressed a consistent theme throughout the album, and this follow-up is also based on a correspondence between her husband's grandfather and grandmother that Ryambiko herself discovered (they migrated from 1933 to 1944, and were forced to live apart due to World War II The work was created as a tribute to the correspondence between her husband's grandfather and grandmother, which Ljambiko herself found in the letters. The daily life of the two men and the words of love they exchanged in their letters carry a weight different from that of today, while at the same time evoking universal sympathy.This album is composed of standards such as "Close Your Eyes," "Stardust," and "Some Day My Price Will Come," as well as Ryambiko's original compositions, weaving a haunting sentiment that transcends time and space. The harmonious playing of Mark Lowenthal (p), Robin Draganic (b), Martin Auer (trumpet), and Tillman Parson (d), all members of the band since its inception, brings the love story of a bygone era to today's listeners through the magic of music.
