Starting with 2013's "STORIES DON'T END," the band has self-released "ALL YOUR FAVORITE BANDS" in 2015, "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE" in 2016, and "PASSWORDS" in 2018 all reached the Top 10 or higher on Billboard's "TOP ROCK ALBUM" and "AMERICANA/FOLK ALBUM" charts. The culmination of a decade-long career, the album recaptures the wild urgency and easy confidence of Dawes' early work, but harnesses the veteran band's strong musical connection more effectively than ever, proving once again that it is possible to push the emotional boundaries of a classic rock song.
