This is the second album in 1970 by Garry Farr, a British singer/songwriter who was active as a leader of the T-Bones in the 1960s. This album, which was released between the acid folky first album and the American-inspired swampy third album, is a work that contains the best of both worlds and conveys his charm in abundance and variety. The album is a collection of songs that showcases the best of both worlds: "In The Mud," which starts out sad and builds to a swamp sound; "Strange Fruit," a chilling acid-folky with a bit of trad flavor; "Margie," a sticky swamp sound at its best; and "About This," a folk-rock song with beautiful strings and a light piano leading the way. The band's sound is a touching fusion of Britishness and The Band's sound on "Proverbs Of Heaven And Hell," a folk-rock song "About This Time Of Year," which features the Mighty Baby and Richard Thompson, as well as his songwriting. This is a masterpiece of British folky swamp music that stands out for its excellence.
