Soichi Terada's "SOUNDS FROM THE FAR EAST," selected by Hunee and released on RushHour in 2015, which determined the re-evaluation of domestic house, is being reissued in a 2025 version with Japanese obi and inner sleeve! This is a dream I never dreamed of. I have been fortunate to be able to continue performing live since the release of my new album "Asakusa Light" around the time the global pandemic of the new coronavirus was coming to an end. looking back on my performances, which weave together songs from the 90s and recent years, they sound like a single work of art. It sounds like a piece of work. When I started making and performing house music, I never dreamed that decades later I would still be doing this. Thanks to the great advice I received from Rush Hour during the production process, but most of all, thanks to everyone who picked up the record and came to the live shows. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Ten years have passed since the release of "Sounds From The Far East" in 2015. I am truly happy to be able to release it in a new, updated package and to be able to bring this music to you on stage. Soichi Terada This is the case! Far Eastern house music rediscovered from Europe! The legendary producer of domestic house music is re-released after 24 years! Born in the 60's, he became familiar with music through the electronic organ and majored in computer science at university. After graduation, he became a fan of hip-hop and house music, and founded FAR EAST RECORDINGS, a pioneering domestic dance music label, to release his own productions. He used vinyl records, DAT, and open reel as well as DJing, and his sound is house music with digital sampling that feels the breath and early impulse of the early 90s.Listening to this compilation of early sources with the ears of today's 2015, we can see his extraordinary and club music sense, and it is unquestionably the best album of his career. The Far East Japanese producer, who also links Chicago Deep House and NY House represented by LARRY HEARD and FRANKIE KNUCKLES, has really caught the eye of New York. top DJs/legends like LARRY LEVAN and VICTOR ROSADO have been in the hands of Shimada. Nami's remix of Sunshower is the first piece of Japanese music, apart from YMO, that has become a classic in the NY dance music scene.
