The "Unyielding People" Variations are 36 variations based on Chilean composer Sergio Ortega's revolutionary song, "A People United Can Never Be Defeated," and are a massive work that takes more than an hour to complete. The "Undying People" Variations, considered one of the most difficult pieces of 20th century piano music, will be tackled by Belgian pianist Daan Fundvall, a specialist in 20th and 21st century American piano music as well as contemporary and experimental music. In 2017, he will perform Jefsky's " Songs of Insurrection," which also had its world premiere by Fandevard.Will this be a new "indomitable people" masterpiece following the recordings of Marc-André Amurand and Yuji Takahashi?
