Here comes the second album by the prodigious harpsichordist "Jean Rondeau," who made his debut in 2014. This time, the album includes works by two masters of the French Baroque, Rameau and Royer. Jean Rondeau's first album "Bach: Works for Harpsichord" won the most prestigious prize in France, "Académie Charles Cross," for "exploring all the possibilities that exist on the harpsichord. This album, Vertigo (Vertigo), by Joseph Nicolas Pancras Royer (1705?-1755), who, along with Jean-Philippe Rameau (1863-1764), was the focus of the album, is a work by two composers who worked at the court of Louis XV and is like The album is so titled because it contains works as dramatic and exuberant as a Hitchcock film.With music entitled Myth, Magic, Ballet and Elaborate Stage, a world of imagination and relationship between the spectacle of the time and French baroque opera is evoked by the ten fingers on the keyboard. Jean Rondeau said that the harpsichord (clavecin) "could have brought the thrill of opera into the home, as Wagner's piano transcription by Liszt did in the 19th century." Jean Rondeau's original compositions and interpretations of such music, with their crisp ornamentation and speed, make this album full of his progressive and persuasive charm.
