This new recording by the Illyria Consort is a collection of violin concertos by such masters as Vivaldi, Tartini, and Locatelli, including the world premiere recording of a restored version of one of their works.In these four gorgeous violin concertos, "the last movement of which ends in a capriccio," Vivaldi takes the art of violin soloism to the extreme, and the virtuosity of the violin, which blazes like fireworks.
