Franco Gulli in Milan. 3 sonatas, first published in 1981 & 1990!Born in Trieste, Italy on September 1, 1926, he studied violin with his father, a student of Otakar Szewczyk and Jan Marják, and at the Chigiana Conservatory in Siena with Arrigo Cerrato, And in Switzerland, he studied with Joseph Szigeti. He was one of the most famous Italian violinists of the 20th century, and his two most famous instruments, the Stradivari "Maréchal-Brutier Vecsey" from 1716 and the Stradivari "Comte de Fontana" from 1702, made him one of the most famous violinists of Italy in the 20th century. Franco Gulli (1926-2001), one of the most famous Italian violinists of the 20th century, is now available in a previously unreleased live recording! Franco Gulli was not only a soloist, but also a member of I Pomerigi Musicali in Milan and the Rome Ensemble, as well as a passionate educator who trained younger students at his alma mater, the Chigiana Conservatory of Music, the Lucerne Conservatory, and Indiana University in the United States. He and his wife and duo partner, Enrica Cavallo, recorded the three violin sonatas in Milan.Recorded and owned by Luca Chierici and Renato Caccamo, artistic supervisors of the Da Vinci Classics Historical Series, and remastered and reissued by luthier and outstanding sound engineer Massimo Marchese The reissue is the first time it has been released on CD.
